Full-service event production agency Premier Events has announced a series of strategic investments and recruitment plans as the business approaches the end of Q2, following sustained growth across multiple divisions.
The company is currently recruiting for multiple roles across its production, creative and fabrication teams, alongside the recent appointment of a new bench joiner & sprayer, and senior event manager, Hannah Thomas. Open positions include an IT manager, draughtsperson, 3D designer, delegate project manager, senior production manager and woodshop project manager
The recruitment drive comes amid increasing demand for interactive experiences, with the company winning lots of recent projects that combine custom built technology, woodshop, artwork and event management.
Ben McCarthy, director at Premier Events, said: “From what our clients are requesting, and from our own experience of exhibiting, it’s clear that the industry is waking up to the potential of expo stands and activations that are truly customised to suit your business. We’re certainly seeing an increase in demand for these custom build projects in the Premier Woodshop.”
As part of this growth, Premier is also expanding its in-house design and print capabilities. This comes in response to increased demand for 3D modelling during the planning stage of fabrication projects. Additionally, Premier reports that they are incorporating 3D printed products into their designs, enabling them to produce items in-house that historically needed to be outsourced.
Alongside team expansion, the business has committed to a number of investments aimed at supporting long-term operational growth and increasing production capacity. This includes a £25,000+ investment in a new in-house spray booth facility. The first booth has been so popular that they are considering a second as well as a new premises to operate spraying from!
Premier is also investing £70,000 in upgrading lighting stock across its AV division, as demand for high-specification production equipment continues to increase. In parallel, the company is in the process of remodeling the warehouse to support growth across both the AV and Woodshop businesses.
The developments follow a sustained period of growth for the agency, with Premier currently on track for its strongest financial year to date.
McCarthy said: “Over the last 12 months, we’ve seen continued growth across all areas of the business, particularly within woodshop, delegate management and technical delivery. These investments are an important part of ensuring we have the infrastructure, facilities and team in place to support that growth sustainably.”
He added: “Client expectations continue to evolve, especially around visualisation, quality and production capability, so we’re investing accordingly, both in people and in operational improvements that strengthen what we can deliver in-house.”
