International Confex has confirmed two key details for the Global Event Tech Summit 2026.
The event will be held at 15Hatfields, an award-winning sustainable events venue on London’s South Bank. And it will open with a keynote from wellbeing expert and author Petra Velzeboer.
The summit takes place on 9 July 2026. The venue is a short walk from Waterloo, Blackfriars and Southwark stations.
The day opens with a keynote titled Don’t Lose Your Head: Digital Wellbeing in the Age of Event Tech & AI. Before delegates explore the latest innovations in event technology and AI, Velzeboer will pose a different question: how do you make technology work for you, rather than the other way around? She will look at a topic that is constantly gaining traction: how event professionals can build a healthier relationship with technology, without giving up the tools they rely on and use daily.
Velzeboer will draw on her latest book, Digital Wellbeing: Recharge Your Focus and Reboot Your Life. She will be sharing practical strategies for protecting attention, preventing burnout and not deemphasising human connection in an digitalising world.
Velzeboer is a TEDx speaker, psychotherapist and CEO of mental health consultancy PVL. She has delivered keynotes for Deloitte, PwC, Microsoft, KPMG, Warner Media, Channel 4 and Monzo. She is also the author of Begin with You, and has been featured in Newsweek, Harvard Business Review and CEO World.
The Global Event Tech Summit 2026 is a one-day event for senior event organisers. It brings together corporate planners, exhibition organisers, agencies, associations and not-for-profits with event technology companies. Registration is free for senior event organisers, with spaces strictly limited.
