More than 300 leaders from across film, television, media, gaming, technology, finance and investment gathered in Manchester for Mythos Manchester, with independent creative agency Dinosaur joining as creative partner for the landmark event designed to put the city at the centre of the UK’s creative future.
Positioned as the “Cannes of the North,” the event focused on co-production, international partnerships, financing structures, regional screen growth and the future of content creation across film, television and digital media, while also exploring the evolving relationship between entertainment, advertising and original IP.
As creative partner, Dinosaur supported the wider creative programme and attended alongside brands, broadcasters, investors and production companies from across the UK’s creative industries.
Mythos Manchester brought together the 300+ senior leaders, producers, directors, financiers, broadcasters, creative entrepreneurs and cultural organisations, alongside keynote speakers including Caroline Simpson, CEO of Greater Manchester Authorities, BBC iPlayer’s Dan McGolpin, Warp Films’ Emily Feller, Head Gear Films’ Phil Hunt, Quay Street Productions’ Richard Fee and Screen Manchester’s Rob Page, for a day of discussion focused on investment, regional screen growth and the future of content creation across film, television and digital media.
Ahead of the main event, Mythos Manchester also hosted a networking evening at MediaCity, bringing together speakers, sponsors and attendees from across the creative and screen industries.
As part of the programme, Dinosaur Founder & Chief Creative Officer Mark Beaumont appeared on the panel ‘From Ads to IP’, exploring how brands are using longer-form storytelling, entertainment and original IP creation.
Mythos Manchester took place on Thursday 11 June 2026 at ABC Buildings, St John’s District, Manchester, with organisers aiming to establish the event as an annual fixture for the UK’s film, television and creative industries.
Mark Beaumont, founder and chief creative officer at Dinosaur, said: “We’re proud to be part of Mythos Manchester and to support an event bringing together people from across film, television, creativity, investment and culture. Manchester has always had a brilliant creative energy and it’s great to see an event that’s helping connect the talent, ambition and investment needed to push the industry forward.”
He added: “The best brands today understand that people want stories, experiences and ideas they genuinely care about. That way of thinking has always felt natural to us at Dinosaur, which made being Creative Partner for Mythos a really good fit.”
