Watford FC has joined Stadium Experience, a not-for-profit association that promotes football, rugby and cricket venues for conferences and events.
The club is the latest addition following Birmingham City FC, Millwall FC and Wrexham AFC, which all joined this summer. The association now has more than 70 members across the UK.
Founded in 2002 by five clubs, Stadium Experience helps members share best practice and access joint marketing opportunities. It also runs the Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards, now in its 19th year.
Watford’s Vicarage Road offers 11 event spaces and 18 executive boxes accommodating up to 200 guests. The venue hosts corporate events, conferences and private celebrations. The club is targeting net zero emissions by 2040.
Debbie Rigney, director of Stadium Experience, said: “We are delighted to welcome the team at Watford FC into the Stadium Experience family. With more than 70 clubs across the UK now working together, our shared mission is to support one another, share ideas, and showcase stadia as inspiring venues for every type of event. We’d love to hear from other stadium venues interested in joining us.”
