Roder UK, a supplier of temporary and permanent modular structures, has planted more than 132 trees in the first six months of the year, exceeding its original target of at least 52.
The company launched the initiative in January, committing to plant a tree for every new social media follower, newsletter subscriber and order placed. It planted 43 trees in June alone, with trees going into the ground in Cambridgeshire, including the Fenland wetlands, and parts of Scotland.
Lee Dalton, managing director of Roder UK, said: “We are really proud that we have gone above and beyond our original target. It’s down to everyone that supports us, be that our clients or email subscribers. Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us, and planting trees is just one initiative which shows our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint as a company.”
Roder UK, which has supplied structures to the UK’s live events, sports, commercial and industrial sectors for more than 50 years, has also been working to cut emissions from its logistics. The company recently delivered more than 10,000 square metres of temporary structures for the RHS Sandringham Flower Show, with all deliveries carried out using an electric fleet through haulage partner Voltloader, a partnership that began at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2025.
