NOWIE, The Network of Women in Events CIC, has collaborated with UN Women UK on this year’s Big Survey.
The annual survey gathers responses from events professionals on gender equality, workplace policies, career satisfaction, and experiences of sexual harassment and assault.
NOWIE said this year’s report will build on findings from the 2025 survey. It aims to identify practical ways to tackle the issues women face across the events industry, while aligning its findings with the Government’s 2025 Freedom from Violence and Abuse Strategy.
UN Women UK will contribute the foreword to the report. It will also help place the findings within the wider national discussion around preventing violence against women and girls and improving gender equality.
The Big Survey is now open. It is accepting responses from all event professionals in the sector until August 2026.
Tabitha Morton, ceo of UN Women UK, said: “Violence against women and girls doesn’t discriminate. It happens at every level, in every corner of society, and the events industry is no exception. That’s why we’re supporting NOWIE’s Big Survey: to build the evidence base that shows what’s really happening to women in this industry, and turn that evidence into action.”
Cat Kevern, managing director of NOWIE, added: “We’re incredibly proud to be collaborating with UN Women UK on this year’s Big Survey. It’s a real privilege to be working alongside such brilliant people. Our ambition has always been to ensure the voices of women working across the events industry are not only heard, but translated into meaningful action.”
