Eastwood Hall in Nottinghamshire, one of five venues in The Venues Collection, has finished refurbishing its restaurant. The work follows a major refurbishment of the venue in 2022, and brings the restaurant into line with the more modern style of its lounge, bar and bedrooms.

The restaurant now has banquette seating, partitions and furniture that can be moved around, so staff can set up open or semi-private dining areas to suit each group. The same space is used for everything from breakfast buffets and conference lunches to à la carte dining. The buffet area has also been upgraded, and new lighting can be adjusted through the day for a more relaxed feel in the evening.

The artwork and decoration draw on the local area, with nods to Nottinghamshire’s lace-making history and its links with Raleigh bicycles, as well as local woodland and wildlife.

Lawrence Suite and a new breakout space

The Lawrence Suite, the venue’s largest conference and event space, has had a lighter refresh, with new carpets, updated decor and better lighting.

Work has also started on a refreshment and breakout area on the first floor, above the lounge, so delegates using the nearby meeting rooms can get coffee and snacks without going back downstairs. The Venues Collection says the change is a response to guest feedback.

Joanne Barratt, managing director of The Venues Collection, said: “Productive meetings do not only happen inside the conference room; the conversations people have over coffee and during breaks can be equally valuable.”

The group’s other venues are Kents Hill Park in Milton Keynes, Milton Hill House in Oxfordshire, Sedgebrook Hall in Northamptonshire and Yarnfield Park in Staffordshire. Between them, the five venues have 180 meeting and training rooms and 1,011 bedrooms.
