asembl.group has launched a permanent presence in Australia with a new office in Melbourne as part of its international expansion strategy.

The move comes as the group reports more than £40m in combined revenue within 18 months of launch. It also coincides with continued growth in Australia’s major events sector.

The Melbourne office will sit alongside Sydney-based agency partner The Park, giving the group coverage across two key Australian event markets. Together with existing operations in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, the expansion extends its reach across multiple time zones.

The group says the Australian base will support international clients delivering events in the region, as global brands continue to use Australia for large-scale activations and conferences.

Gavin Farley, chief executive officer of asembl.group, said, “Expanding further into Australia marks a significant milestone in asembl.group’s global journey. The nation represents a dynamic and growing market for world-class event experiences and Melbourne, with its vibrant culture and thriving business community, is the perfect launchpad. This move strengthens our ability to support clients internationally with a truly connected, full-service offer and is a clear signal of where the group is heading next.”

The group operates a collaborative model that brings together independent agencies to deliver event services across multiple disciplines, including conferences, cultural programmes and corporate activations.

The Melbourne office will be led by Mike Linford (pictured), partnerships manager and Melbourne lead.

Linford said, “Australia is a market full of ambition and energy. The appetite for world-class live experiences here is enormous and growing. Melbourne is an events city in the truest sense and I’m incredibly excited to be building our presence here. What we can offer clients, including the depth of collective expertise, the international reach and the single joined-up partnership, is genuinely different to what the market currently has access to. This is just the beginning.”

The Australia expansion is part of a wider strategy to establish hubs in high-growth international markets to support global event delivery through a single network.
