The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA), North Scotland’s largest live events venue, has today announced that it has secured the 47th Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering Conference (OMAE), organised by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Running from 11 to 18 June 2028, ASME’s OMAE is where researchers present new advances in offshore and ship structures, reliable production methods, ocean engineering technology and arctic sciences through technical sessions, and is set to attract 1,200 delegates from around the world.
The team at TECA worked collaboratively with key stakeholders and partners in Aberdeen to successfully secure this international conference, including academics at the University of Aberdeen’s School of Engineering, and the Aberdeen Convention Bureau. This team approach has built momentum, helping Aberdeen to secure major international and national conferences into 2027, 2028 and beyond.
