Rapiergroup, a UK based events agency, has announced its transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), marking a new chapter in the company’s journey.
Ownership of the business has officially transferred from the recent shareholders, Helen de Bois and Chris Whittaker, to a trust that holds the company on behalf of all employees. This move secures Rapiergroup’s long-term independence and reinforces its commitment to the people who have shaped its success.
Helend de Bois, managing director, said: “We’ve built a business defined by its people, and it feels entirely right that its future should now rest with them. By becoming employee-owned, we’re protecting our culture, values, client and supplier relationships for the long term.”
The EOT structure ensures that the company is governed with transparency and fairness, overseen by a Trust Board that includes an independent chair.
It also means that every employee now has a collective stake in the business, aligning the company’s future with the passion and dedication of its team.
Whittaker will continue in his role as operations director, alongside De Bois and the existing leadership team. Both De Bois and Whittaker have relinquished their personal shareholdings in favour of the Trust, underscoring their belief in shared success and sustainable growth.
For Rapiergroup’s clients and partners, this transition brings continuity and confidence. The same trusted team remains in place, now with even greater pride and ownership in the work they deliver.
De Bois said: “This isn’t just a change in structure. It’s a commitment to the long-term stability of our business and a celebration of the people who make Rapiergroup what it is.”
