Exclusive Collection, the UK’s first B Corp-certified hotel group, has published its latest Impact Report, reporting a 17.5% increase in its B Corp score, moving from 80.3 to 94.4 following its latest recertification.
The update covers April 2024 to March 2025 and shows measurable progress across energy use, biodiversity, governance, and community work.
The group operates six country house hotels, a cookery school, golf club, spa, and pub. It first gained certification in 2021.
Over the past year, Exclusive Collection launched The Reeds at South Lodge, a biophilic lodge development with a wild swimming lake. The site has attracted new aquatic wildlife and strong guest demand.
Work on carbon sequestration continued through a partnership with Land App, restoring habitats and planting new hedgerows across its estates.
Through food-sharing platform OLIO, the group redistributed 6,773 meals to local communities, preventing around 12,160kg of CO₂ emissions. It also donated more than £20,000 to charity, while each of its 850 staff received a paid volunteering day.
Energy efficiency projects cut total energy use by 17.7% and reduced water consumption by 3.3%, saving 3,550m³ of water. Over 100 student placements were offered in spa, wellness, and hospitality.
Category scores also improved across governance (+15%), workers (+14%), community (+22%), environment (+28%), and customers (+2%).

These early initiatives gave us a baseline that now enables us to track and measure progress, making our sustainability ambitions through to 2027 fully quantifiable. We’ve got a clear roadmap, and it’s led us to a fantastic new score of 94.4. This huge increase is testament to our brilliant team who live our values and use our business as a force for good every day.”
Exclusive Collection’s sustainability roadmap targets carbon positivity on Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2026, alongside further reductions in water use, biodiversity improvements, and deeper community engagement.
