Global B2B events agency emc3 has launched the emc3 Collective, an umbrella group for specialist agencies, and acquired US-based experiential agency BEG (Boston Experiential Group) as its first addition.
The Collective now comprises three agencies: emc3, which delivers B2B events; BEG, a B2C experiential and activation agency; and From Now, a sustainability consultancy.
BEG was founded by Sophia D’Angelo and works with clients including P&G, Meta, Fever-Tree, Samuel Adams and Welch’s. The agency will continue operating independently under its existing brand and leadership. D’Angelo remains managing director of BEG and joins the emc3 Collective’s senior leadership team, reporting to Lee-Anne Caldwell, global managing director of the Collective.
Alistair Graham, chief executive of the emc3 Collective, said: “The emc3 Collective represents the next chapter of our journey, bringing together bold, creative, and values-led agencies that can scale with intention.”
D’Angelo said: “From the outset, it was clear that we shared the same energy, ambition, and people-first approach.”
The launch follows a period of growth for emc3, which has achieved B Corp certification, received the King’s Award for Enterprise, acquired From Now, expanded its US presence by relocating chief strategy officer Dan Curtis to New York, appointed Caldwell as global managing director, and secured Gold EcoVadis certification.
BEG is the first in a planned series of acquisitions as the Collective expands globally. Each agency retains its own identity while sharing infrastructure and operational support.
Daniel Curtis, chief strategy officer at emc3 Collective, said: “This is just the beginning. With the acquisition of BEG, we’re excited to operate in the B2C space. The emc3 Collective brings bold, values-led agencies together, and we’re actively exploring further acquisitions to expand our capabilities for our clients around the world.”
The acquisition was announced at a Pulse event, emc3’s community event series, in Austin.
