Clarity has taken their largest cohort of apprentices in over a decade, as it launches Clarity Aspire, their Apprenticeship First Programme.

The cohort of 10 apprentices started in September, working from their Manchester, Edinburgh, East Kilbride and Derby offices across a variety of finance and business travel consultant roles.

The programme, which is being driven by Clarity’s Apprenticeship, Learning and Development Team, is focused on prioritising apprenticeship opportunities for entry-level positions within the leading travel company. By creating a structured pathway, it enables individuals to earn, learn and gain professional qualifications simultaneously.

The programme combines comprehensive onboarding, mentoring, coaching, buddy support, accredited learning and regular wellbeing check-ins to ensure participants are supported throughout their development journey.

Clarity has a proven track record of apprenticeship success, with former apprentices progressing into leadership and business-critical roles across the company. In addition, more than 70 colleagues have been supported through apprenticeship qualifications ranging from Level 3 programmes to master’s-level studies, demonstrating Clarity’s wider commitment to lifelong learning, skills development and employee progression.

Neil Wainwright-Farrar, head of apprenticeships and early careers at Clarity, who is leading the programme said: “Clarity Aspire was set up as a way to future proof our business in becoming the employer of choice for people starting out in the business travel industry.”

He added: “As someone who entered this industry as an apprentice, I know first-hand the value it can bring to both the individual and the business. We set up this programme as we wanted to challenge ourselves to find apprenticeship opportunities and nurture those individuals for many, many years to come.”

A new onboarding plan has been created that is more holistic, featuring interactive sessions, guest speakers and supplier activities to add a fun and engaging element that will widen the students’ exposure and breadth of industry knowledge.

Clarity is building on an already strong history of working with apprentices, with 73 people supported through this route since 2014 and winning multiple awards for their work in this area. With the latest 2026 cohort, it means 32 apprentices are currently studying and working with the leading TMC.

Clarity’s chief executive officer, Pat Mcdonagh said: “What sets us apart from other TMCs is how apprenticeships are engrained within the company. With many of Clarity’s Executives and senior leaders starting out as apprentices themselves, it is evident how the investment in our people can lead to great things.”

He added: “Prioritising apprenticeships is a point of differentiation for us and hopefully something that many more will benefit from in the future.”
