Broadwick Group has secured an eight-figure investment from Lloyds to expand its venue portfolio and hospitality operations.

The company, known for Printworks London, Magazine London and Manchester’s Depot Mayfield, will use the funding to develop new venues, upgrade existing sites and create new jobs.

The deal follows Broadwick’s acquisition of hospitality operator Camm & Hooper – adding Banking Hall, OXO2 and 26 Leake Street to its portfolio.

The financing was arranged by Alvarez & Marsal and supports Broadwick’s wider plan to grow a network of large-scale cultural and events spaces in the UK and US.

The group now operates 24 venues, including the recently opened Brooklyn Storehouse in New York. Each site hosts live events, exhibitions and brand activations, and combines music, art, and hospitality under one roof.

Broadwick employs more than 200 staff, including 35 from Camm & Hooper and 50 new roles within its catering and hospitality arm. The company said this reflects its focus on job creation and skills growth in the live events sector.

It has also entered a partnership with East London venue Troxy to increase capacity and add new production facilities.

Broadwick chief executive Simon Tracey said: “Broadwick was founded to connect people through remarkable spaces – from global music events to major brand launches and creative gatherings. As our portfolio continues to expand across the UK and US, we’re focused on building the next generation of hybrid destinations.”

He added: “The support from Lloyds gives us the ability to invest in growth, talent, and infrastructure.”

Declan Mulcahy, relationship director at Lloyds Bank, said: “Broadwick’s vision for how culture, hospitality, and real estate can work together is redefining the live-experience sector. It’s a privilege to support a business that continues to set new standards … both in London and internationally.”

Steven Knight, director of growth and structured finance at Lloyds Bank, said: “This bespoke funding package enables the business to accelerate its strategy.”
