Employee owned event agencies Sledge and SWM Partners (which Sledge acquired in 2020) have announced they have become a Certified B Corporation™ (B Corp). The agencies achieved a B Impact Assessment (BIA) score of 130, exceeding the minimum 80 points required to gain certification.
The process involved an evidence-based analysis of the Group’s entire operations, covering impact areas related to practices around governance, workers, community, the environment and customers.
Sarah Yeats, who has been promoted to group managing director to help take the business to the next level as it works towards its sustainability vision, said: “While we’ve been operating in line with B Corp, as well as several other industry-leading standards since the implementation of our Sustainability Management System (SMS) in 2024, becoming B Corp certified officialises our commitment to putting purpose alongside profits, and sustainability centre stage.
“As such, it’s very much business as usual at Sledge and SWM Partners, as we continue our focus on embedding sustainability into our entire business model, our culture and our events.”
The group I also currently on a journey towards obtaining the International Standard for Event Sustainability (ISO 20121) and the International Standard for Environmental Management (ISO 14001).
