Manchester Central has announced that it will be delivering events and hospitality services at Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park and Concorde Conference Centre.
Home to the Concorde aircraft, the Concorde Conference Centre will host dinners, conferences, weddings and parties for up to 700 people.
Shaun Hinds, chief executive at Manchester Central said: “We are absolutely delighted to be moving forward with this new opportunity. The Concorde Conference Centre is the perfect complimentary offer to our iconic City Centre convention centre.
Aztec, an Essex-based event management company, has announced that it has expanded its technical team by appointing Fabio Rinaldo as technical project manager.
Rinaldo's new role will have a particular focus upon delivering virtual events. He brings seven years of experience to the role, and has previously held senior roles with technical production companies in London and has help produce large and complex events.
Emirates Old Trafford recently brought together a panel of event industry experts to debate key issues for the industry ahead of the proposed re-opening of the sector on 1 October.
Those that took part in the event included: Daniel Gidney, CEO of Lancashire Cricket and Emirates Old Trafford; Sheona Southern, managing director of Marketing Manchester; and Ian Nuttall, CEO of events agency Xperiology, alongside the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.
