Global event management agency, veSpace, has today announced the publication of its first-ever Sustainability Impact Report, marking a milestone in the company’s journey to embed sustainability across every aspect of its business and client services.
The report provides a transparent overview of veSpace’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, highlighting achievements including a CDP B Rating, EcoVadis Committed Badge, ECOsmart for Business certification, and a clear roadmap towards Net Zero emissions.
Led by CEO Anita Lowe, veSpace has integrated sustainability into its operations, supply chain, event delivery model and corporate culture, demonstrating that exceptional event experiences and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
Lowe said: “This report represents much more than a collection of metrics and achievements reflects the passion, commitment and innovation of our entire team. Sustainability is no longer a separate initiative within our business, it is embedded into how we think, operate and deliver for our clients. We remain committed to driving positive change across our industry.”
The report outlines several major milestones achieved over the past two years, including winning Gold and Platinum awards at the Greengage Insights Awards, completing the company’s first carbon footprint assessment, committing to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and establishing a structured programme to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050. veSpace has also adopted an interim target to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 63% by 2035.
The report also showcases veSpace’s commitment to creating more sustainable events. Every client now receives a detailed EventSmart Impact Report following their event, providing carbon footprint analysis and actionable insights to reduce future impact.
The company actively promotes accredited venues, digital-first event delivery, waste reduction initiatives, plant-based menu options and circular procurement practices.
Client engagement data highlighted in the report demonstrates the growing importance of sustainability within the events sector.
Research conducted among veSpace’s largest customers revealed that 86% have established Net Zero targets, while 100% consider sustainability credentials during supplier procurement.
The report also highlights veSpace’s strong social impact credentials. The company continues to invest heavily in its people through Investors in People accreditation, sustainability training programmes, wellbeing initiatives, mental health first aid training and career development opportunities.
In parallel, veSpace supports local and international communities through volunteering programmes, charitable initiatives and technology donation schemes that extend the life of surplus equipment.
The Sustainability Impact Report will be updated annually, enabling stakeholders to track veSpace’s progress against its environmental and social commitments while providing a clear view of future goals and performance.
