Sleek Events has announced the appointment of Josie Klafkowska as its first chief marketing officer.
The hire follows a period of rapid growth for Sleek, which has more than doubled in size since 2021. The company even featured in The Sunday Times list of fastest-growing private companies this year at number 21. The organisation is reportedly on track to achieve £50m in revenue by 2026/27.
Klafkowska joins Sleek from WPP global advertising network, VML, where she most recently served as global partner marketing director, working alongside technology vendors such as Adobe, Salesforce, Shopify and Stripe.
Founder and CEO, Jennifer Davidson, said: “Josie’s arrival marks a real milestone for us. We’ve been growing fast with 80% of our projects coming from repeat clients and word of mouth, but now we’re focused on doing it in a more structured, strategic way. It’s taken us a year to find the right person for this role – someone who understands how to tell our story and bring our vision to life.”
She added: “Josie brings extensive experience working with many of the tech organisations that are part of our client base, which will be invaluable as we continue to scale. I’m incredibly proud that, while so many businesses are consolidating or cutting back, we’re continuing to invest in our people and our future.”
Josie Klafkowska, chief marketing officer at Sleek Events, added: “What Jennifer and the team have built at Sleek is rare – a company that has managed to grow at pace without losing its culture or purpose. It’s this tight focus on ‘growth without compromise’ that attracted me to Sleek.”
