Premier Events announces internal restructure for the new year

Premier Events has announced an internal restructure alongside changes to its studios, content teams and delegate management offer.

The Leicester-based agency also confirmed a website relaunch and plans to exhibit at three UK trade shows in February.

The changes follow what the company described as its strongest financial year to date, with Premier reporting revenue of more than £10m in 2025 which represented 46% year-on-year growth.

The restructure centres on the merger of two internal teams. Premier has combined its content and creative team with its Premier Studios division. Both teams will now operate as a single department.

Founder and director Ben McCarthy said the move reflects how the services already operate. He said: The Content and Creative Team was born out of our Studios offering. By uniting these teams, our workflows will become more efficient and our offering can adapt to reflect the needs of our clients.”

Premier Studios includes film, broadcast and podcast studios, all of which can be operated by clients without on-site support. The Content and Creative team provides event graphics, PowerPoint design and video production. It also covers event design, scripting, presenter coaching and audience experience planning.

McCarthy said there was overlap between the two teams. He said: “There is huge crossover with these two teams and bringing them together will give us more resource to deliver on clients’ needs.”

The restructure comes alongside continued headcount growth. Premier Events now employs 52 people, which represents a 24% increase during 2025. Its Woodshop division has doubled in size, with the team growing from four to eight people. Premier said Woodshop sales increased by more than 100% during the year.

Premier Studios has also expanded, with three new team members being added to meet demand.

Creative director Francesa Sandecott said studio operations now require dedicated technical oversight. She said: “Managing the studios has gone from being something our production manager could do on the side, to requiring the time and dedication of a full-time engineer.”

The agency has also made a senior appointment. Mel Kay has joined to lead the agency’s delegate management division, Premier Connects. McCarthy said: “Mel brings invaluable experience to the team, spanning event management, delegate experience and event marketing.”

Premier Connects has grown from two to five people over the past six months.

The agency has also launched a new Premier Events website, which reflect the operational changes across the business. He said: “We have reimagined the Premier website with a smoother user journey and a refined look and feel that we’re excited to see reflected across all the different brands.”

He added that the company is focusing on AEO, or answer engine optimisation. This is designed to improve visibility in large language model search tools, rather than traditional search engines.

Premier will present its restructured teams publicly next month.

Premier Events, Premier Connects and Premier Studios will exhibit at International Confex, Event Production Show and The PA Show, with the merged content and creative and studios department being formally launched during the events.

Premier Events is documenting the process through a social media series showing the preparation behind the three exhibitions.
