Meetings and events benchmarking platform offers free data service for industry
Meetings and events benchmarking platform Venue Performance has released a 'freemium' version of its service for hotels and venues.
The 'freemium' version will provide access to 28 charts, analysis combinations as well as industry and market data, that venues can use to benchmark their performance versus the competition.
Peter Heath, MD of Venue Performance, said: “We’ve invested heavily in our platform over the last 18 months, and it’s always been our intention to play a supporting role in helping hotels, venues the wider M&E community grow as quickly as possible post-pandemic.
“We also support our industry by providing the government and industry bodies with the data and evidence needed for that growth. That’s why we’ve opened up our platform so all hotels and venues can see the data, and benefit from using it in their decision-making.“
Industry figures have come out in support of the move to a freemium service, with key figures from London & Partners as well as beam highlighting the news.
Tracy Halliwell, MBE, director of tourism, conventions and major events, London & Partners, said: “Venue Performance’s data is an excellent source of market intelligence for London & Partners. I urge all venues and hotels not already using it to look seriously at their freemium model.“
Sian Sayward, governance director at trade body beam, said: “This is excellent news from Venue Performance. We have been working closely with Venue Performance since we chose them as our benchmarking partner, and we wholeheartedly support and endorse this release.“
