Cvent acquires VenueDirectory

Cvent has acquired venue data centre VenueDirectory to increase its presence in the UK and Europe.

VenueDirectory, which was founded in 1993, now plays a role in providing data to Cvent’s customers on venue facilities. The acquisition was driven by data in the Cvent 2021 planner report, which showed 70% of organisers are working towards hybrid ad in-person events in 2022.

The company with continue to operate as a standalone business, but will now conduct business under the Cvent portfolio.
