Corporate event managers named as CN Agency Awards judges
The first three judges for the 2020 CN Agency Awards have been confirmed. Corporate event managers from Gerson Lehrman Group, Chemical Watch, and Baker McKenzie will be assessing nominations across several categories.
Michelle Rees | Head of events, EMEA | Gerson Lehrman Group
Rees is head of events for Gerson Lehrman Group where she leads a team to deliver best in class events within the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions. Rees has worked within corporate events for 12 years managing events all over the globe at firms including Linklaters, Gartner and KWM, working to deliver events that inspire, engage and motivate attendees.
In 2015 she co-founded Eventsprofslive, a London-based networking group for corporate event managers, along with her own agency Event Consult for private clients.
In her free time, Rees is rooted in every aspect of the event world, claiming she “wouldn’t change it for anything”.
Mentoring plays a huge role in Rees’ day to day life as well and has mentored two up and coming event professionals in 2019 along with accepting a board position within The Female Hospitality Network to help inspire, motivate and support everyone within the hospitality industry
Juliet Tripp | Senior events manager | Chemical Watch
Tripp is senior events manager at Chemical Watch, with 10 years’ experience in the industry having worked on a huge variety of events for a diverse range of guests, from rock stars to royalty.
Her role involves planning and running international conferences, creating valued and memorable experiences from concept to completion for guests and clients at events across the world.
Tripp says she is passionate about empowering and connecting people, and is Chair of the Chester board of the Female Hospitality Network and also has an events industry blog at www.juliettrippevents.com which includes a series on Inspirational Female #EventProfs. In 2018 she co-founded Best You Self Care; wellness events and a community for women in Shropshire and enjoys hosting and speaking at a wide range of industry conferences and events.
In addition to a BA Hons degree in English and Drama, Tripp has a Postgraduate Diploma in Events Management with the Event Academy accredited by the CIM and is a CN30 under Thirty 2019 award winner.
Kate Bullard | Events manager | Baker McKenzie
Bullard describes herself as a passionate and professional event manager with 10 years' experience working as in-house corporate event manager within the legal sector.
Bullard has vast experience of delivering a variety of events, from conferences, forums, gala receptions, corporate hospitality, client entertainment and themed and bespoke events, with a strong focus on targeting, networking and return on investment to maximise the BD opportunities via the events programme.
Alongside Michelle Rees, she is co-founder of Eventprofslive.
