Conference Care has won a contract to find venues for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors‘ (RICS) events around the world (following a competitive tender).

The contract covers RICS’s conferences, awards ceremonies and training sessions, as well as its Matrics early-career programme, which runs across the UK. Conference Care will source venues in Europe, Asia-Pacific, India, China and North America.

As part of the deal, Conference Care will negotiate rates with venues and work on an open-book basis, giving RICS detailed reports on what it spends. It will also use its online platform, MeetingsHub, to let RICS track spending and savings as they happen.

Sofia Tranter, head of new business at Conference Care, said that from the start there had been “a real sense of shared ambition around creating an efficient, consistent and high-quality approach to venue sourcing”.

Pauline Beattie, managing director of Conference Care, said the company was looking forward to “building a strong, long-term relationship with the RICS team”.
