The Association of Event Organisers has appointed nQ Legal as its legal services partner, in a partnership that begins on 1 February 2026.

nQ Legal is a UK commercial law firm focused on events and venues. It will provide legal support to AEO members.

The deal gives organisers direct access to sector-specific legal advice, at a time when contracts, regulation and compliance are reportedly becoming more complex across the events industry.

Under the agreement, nQ Legal will deliver legal briefings and content for members, as well as taking part in AEO events. The focus is practical support, including contracts, employment and HR, governance, and compliance.

A new legal support service will also be launched for members. It will include a complimentary one-hour legal consultation, plus discounted rates for further work, with full details to be confirmed before the service goes live.

Anna Golden, chief executive officer at the Association of Event Organisers, said: “Our members are running complex businesses, and access to clear, practical legal insight is an important part of supporting them to do that well. We’re pleased to be working with a partner who understands the realities of the events sector and the challenges our members face.”

Carol Thompson, co-founder and director at nQ Legal, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with AEO and supporting its members. Event organisers face a wide range of legal considerations as part of their day-to-day operations, and our aim is to provide advice that is practical, relevant and grounded in the commercial realities of the sector.”
