The Barbican has announced that it has appointed the global event Wi-Fi provider Max Wi-Fi to 'enhance its services and network management for event attendees, staff and the public'.
Max Wi-Fi has upgraded the Wi-Fi across the Barbican Centre, allowing it to deliver greater capacity, speed and signal strength. The upgrades will also support the Barbican’s hybrid and digital business events offering. Further details on this new offer will be announced shortly.
Consortium Venues of Excellence (VOE) has announced that it has become a strategic partner of the Institute of Hospitality (IOH).

EventReference.com, an event management platform, has launched new features to help organisers arrange Covid-19-secure events. It also now available for a six month free trial.
EventReference.com allows event organisers to manage online event registration, appointment setting and diary management, event management, paid registration, event reporting, badging and scanning. The new features enable organisers to stagger delegate entry to events, communicate with delegates before arrival, and to manage attendance numbers and departures. The platform also links to an event app.
The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has launched a tool which will enable venues to manage the tracking and tracing of delegates.
The miaTrustedTrace tool is free to mia members and features enhanced hygiene and infection prevention controls. It is designed to enable venues to manage delegate contact information easily and safely.
