{10-11} Carlton House Terrace – home of The British Academy for humanities and social sciences, has today launched its open tender for new accredited meetings and event services suppliers.

The inter-connected Grade I listed Georgian townhouses in Westminster hosts more than 500 events a year for 10 to 400 guests.

With ten highly versatile events spaces, {10-11} Carlton House Terrace hosts an array of event formats, from conferences, seminars and product launches to weddings, fashion shows and film shoots.

The venue is welcoming supplier applications spanning a broad range of disciplines to help shape the next generation of partners supporting its diverse, international client base.

The list is split into two categories. Accredited suppliers, florists and production companies, will complete a two-stage process of written submission and interview.

Recommended suppliers including entertainment, photography, videography, cake, planners, stylists, furniture, décor and accessibility services (subtitling, sign language, translation, crèche and live audio description), will be fully assessed via written submission.

The venue aims to build a list of four to eight suppliers per category, with successful applicants awarded a three-year contract. Emphasis is placed on suppliers who can demonstrate experience working within listed buildings and a strong marketing presence.

An exemplary commitment to sustainability and equity, diversity and inclusion will also be core requirements, aligned with key priorities in both {10-11} Carlton House Terrace and The British Academy’s strategies.

Ahead of the application deadline, {10-11} will host a series of Open House sessions for interested suppliers to view the venue and ask questions about the process, on Wednesday 5 August (9:30am–12pm), Wednesday 12 August (1pm–5pm), and Wednesday 19 August (9:30am–12pm). RSVPs are required.

Catherine Owen, head of venue sales and marketing at {10-11} Carlton House Terrace, said: “Our last tender was in 2023 and expectations around sustainability, EDI and creativity have rapidly moved on. Since then, we’ve also opened three technically advanced lower ground floor spaces, significantly increasing our capabilities for hybrid, live streamed and virtual events.”

She added: The expertise required to work in a Grade I listed building matters just as much and is central to the operational excellence we’re known for. We’re looking for a broad range of service partners, each bringing strong sustainability and EDI credentials, alongside relevant experience, to help set the delivery standard for every event we host. We’re excited to welcome a fresh cohort of accredited and recommended partners onto our list.”
