Newest Recruit Off to a Flying Start at Europa Showfreight

Jack Baxter, 19, has been announced as the newest recruit at Europa Showfreight in the company’s Birmingham base.

Straight out of Sixth Form, he took a gap year to gain experience and travel to Australia, and on his return become the youngest member of the team as the role of business development manager.

His title entails developing new business and focusing on customer relationship management with new and existing clients, which fulfils the company’s commitment to further grow this specialist management service.

Baxter commented: “Showfreight is a very interesting area of the business with a great deal of variety and unique challenges. I’m looking forward to gaining more experience of logistics solutions for worldwide exhibitions and events.”

This events firm is a branch of the independent logistics provider Europa Worldwide Group. They have been involved in numerous shows and exhibitions around the globe, including ExpoElectronica in Moscow; Routes Asia in Brisbane; Glassman Latin America in Mexico; and COTTM in Beijing.

It’s one of Europa’s ambitions to enrol additional enthusiastic and driven individuals to be trained and guided to become future leaders of the business, which makes Baxter the first of many for the company.

Showfreight manager Jeff Broom, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jack on board and I’m pleased to say he’s off to a flying start. There aren’t enough young people coming in to the exhibition side of the logistics industry so this is a very promising addition to our growing team.”
