EMA launches online community with free membership

An online community to support corporate event organisers, in-house event professionals and marketers has today been launched by the Event Marketing Association (EMA) at

The new online community will facilitate online networking, discussions and knowledge sharing, and will enable the EMA to move from a traditional event led industry association to an online community supported by live events.

The launch co-insides with the introduction of the EMA’s new free level of membership which offers most of the benefits of being a full member with a few pay-as-you-go options.

Richard Waddington, EMA Chair said: “Our new site takes the EMA into a new era; we have created a community for event profs to meet both online, and then off-line at the multitude of events we have planned for 2019. The EMA events program includes monthly breakfast workshops, evening seminars and socials, fam trips and round tables. We are also creating regional events through the year and have four in the diary already. I urge all in-house organisers to come and be part of our community – our new free level of membership makes it a no-brainer. I’d also like to thank all of our industry partners for their support because we would not exist without them.”

The new EMA website includes relevant news and insights from across the industry, the EMA Resource Centre and a jobs board with relevant in-house positions. The EMA Resource Centre has been created by in-house event profs for in-house event profs and includes white papers and research from across the industry, templates and documents to help an organiser in their daily role, and venue information from the venues the EMA has worked with.

The EMA is the only event industry association that exclusively represents in-house event professionals working for corporate business, charities, associations, government or professional bodies. Agencies, suppliers, venues are excluded from membership.
