Somerset House brings fun back to business with DODGE: Drink, Dine and Dodgems
Central London venue Somerset House is hosting a new open-air experience in its courtyard, DODGE: Drink, Dine and Dodgems, until 22 August.
On Mondays the corporate market can exclusively hire DODGE and connect with colleagues again with music, food and entertainment.
To create DODGE, Somerset House collaborated with co-designer and creative director of the 2021 Brit Awards Yinka Ilori, Mercury Prize nominee Anna Meredith and sound artist Nick Ryan to transform the courtyard.
During exclusive hire, street food and drinks will be served to Ilori’s outdoor booths nestled among a large-scale multi-colour installation.
The new interactive dodgems ride from Somerset House Studios resident Anna Meredith in collaboration with fellow resident Nick Ryan is called ‘Bumps Per Minute.’ Each dodgem is tracked with bespoke wireless technology and with every swerve, bump and jolt, a unique audio-visual composition is created, resulting in new musical material.
Culinary star Jimmy Garcia has devised gastronomic food including bone marrow beef burgers, spiced butternut squash falafel wraps, green chilli sriracha chips and seriously extra sundaes all served in the booths. Moët & Chandon will be providing champagne and San Miguel, the lager.
Unlimited DODGE passes can be added on to any event being held from Tuesdays to Sundays for £10 per person.
