In this series, Agency Correspondent Heather Nicholls takes you behind the scenes of some of the most compelling brand activations and events.
In the sixteenth edition, we meet experiential agency The Park, the agency behind lululemon’s flex appeal.
The Brief:
lululemon’s Align range isn’t just a product line, it’s a cultural icon that has redefined comfort, movement, and self-expression. To celebrate its 10-year milestone, The Park were challenged to create a bold, high-impact ticketed consumer-facing activation in London by delivering a moment that didn’t just honour the brand’s legacy, but embodied its spirit: freeing, empowering, and deeply connected to the joy of movement.

The Execution:
“Yoga done differently” was at the heart of the agency’s approach, which unlocked the creative direction.
The journey from concept to activation started with a deep dive into culture, in which the agency explored both established and emerging movement trends to uncover what ‘yoga done differently’ could truly mean. This insight laid the foundation for the creative approach.
The Park set out to reimagine yoga through a more inclusive, unexpected lens that would engage both brand loyalists and new-to-brand guests and aimed to spark cultural relevance, create emotional connections, and shift perceptions by inviting new audiences into the world of lululemon.

This inspired the agency to collaborate with various music and movement partners, which allowed the agency to leverage its communities and generate cultural relevance. It also enabled it to provide a range of experiences that catered to different abilities and inclinations, to maximise inclusion.
Bridget Lane, account director at The Park said: “Partner selection was central to our execution and was made possible through collaborating with lululemon to shortlist these partners and curate a run of show that was both impactful and intentional.”
In regard to the look, feel and build of the activation The Park took inspiration from how the Align range shows up in retail spaces and recent lululemon brand events or experiences in other markets. The agency also took inspiration from events specific set design solutions that could work both in function and aesthetically.

Lane said: “The biggest challenge was creating an experience that felt intimate and elevated, while delivering on the grand scale required to mark a decade of Align.”
There were up to 200 guests per session, so The Park needed to ensure comfort, flow and emotional impact, without compromising on the premium feel of the brand. Lane added: “Every detail, from venue choice to guest movement, had to be carefully considered. We chose a venue that would give us the flexibility we needed – Exhibition London, a space built for large-scale, high-energy events. By distilling the experience into a unified movement and music journey, we ensured smooth transitions, maximised comfort, and created a powerful moment of collective movement.”

The Result:
Lane said: “The event was all about pairing expected movement partners that were up for doing yoga diffently, with unexpected music artists.”
Together with the headliners, which included Rouge Rooms, Bimini, Play Collective and Saint Ludo, among others, The Park curated a series of multi-discipline sessions that were grounded in the joy of movement. Starting with restoative yoga in the morning, guests were eased into the day before growing into dynamic playful movement sessions in the afternoon and evening.

The guest experience didn’t end when the instructors and coaches wrapped up their sessions on te mat, it continued downstairs on the ground floor where guests were immersed in a brand world inspired by the Align campaign. The agency created a blue-washed space complete with summery snacks and refreshments, brand vignettes and the chance to win Align products.
Lane said: “The event cemented lululemon’s position as a culturally connected market leader with product superiority and staying power with more than 700 people attending the event.”

Lane added: “The feedback we received truly highlighted how much guests appreciated the meticulous attention to detail throughout the event. From the carefully curated sessions that built energy through a blend of movement, music, and wellness talent, creating a genuinely unique experience, to the thoughtful touch of handing out lululemon-branded bottles filled with refreshing iced water before the session.
“This feedback reinforced a key insight: every element, big or small, plays a vital role in crafting a memorable and well-executed event for guests.”
