Venues of Excellence pledges health, safety and security in response to Covid-19
Venues of Excellence has committed to produce the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness for its customers, teams and suppliers as the hospitality industry prepares to return to business.
The new commitment covers key areas that underpin its membership. This includes access to ongoing briefings to support its member venues Covid-19 awareness training and operating procedures.
Its venues will adapt its capacities to manage the social distancing guidance by offering staggered meeting times, enhanced cleaning schedules and alternative delegate stationery and equipment.
Guest rooms and public spaces will be frequently cleaned including its lift buttons, door handles, bathrooms and room keys. Its venues will also maintain hygiene in its staff areas such as locker rooms, offices and laundry rooms.
Food and beverage, including room service, will be offered by a contact free service such as social distancing and the use of PPE.
Mandy Jennings, executive director, commented: “ At such an unprecedented time for the hospitality industry, the Venues of Excellence Team have worked to support our member venues and we are confident that our approach to this commitment will demonstrate that our venues continue to be quality led and customer driven, as we build the conference and events business once again.
“Over the past few weeks, our member venues have been working on their plans for reopening with venues such as Wyboston Lakes, Make Venues, Victory Services Club and Millennium Point now well on the way with sharing with their clients their plans on how they will manage their conferences, meetings and events. We have also seen great camaraderie within our members to best practices through our Covid-19 Resource Library.”
