The British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) will bring its Annual Scientific Meeting back to London for the first time in four decades as part of a new multi-year agreement with the International Convention Centre (ICC) at Olympia.
BAUS CEO Mary Suphi said the West London venue “ticked every box.”
The ICC, which opens in March 2026 as part of Olympia’s redevelopment, will host the meeting in 2026 and 2028. The contract was secured in partnership with Legends Global, which oversees management and commercial strategy for the venue.
The conference will take place from 15–17 June 2026 and is expected to draw 2,500 delegates. It will be one of the first major medical and association events held at the new ICC.
The programme will bring together urological professionals from across the UK and will include scientific sessions examining developments in the field, including the role of artificial intelligence in clinical practice and research.
Olympia’s wider £1.3bn regeneration project includes the new ICC, hotels, public realm improvements and improvements to the existing exhibition venue including a £2m restoration of its National Roof.
Olympia have made several announcements regarding new events to coincide with the completion of its regeneration such as The Titanic Exhibition.
Andy O’Sullivan, CEO of Olympia Events, said: “Enabling this flagship event to return to the capital for the first time in more than a generation is a real testament to the vision and ambition behind Olympia’s regeneration.”
Steve Duan, head of sales for associations at Legends Global, said: “Significant investment across the campus, including a state-of-the-art ICC, new on-site hotels, and high quality public realm, is creating an attractive, connected destination for association meetings, which is why more associations are choosing Olympia for their flagship gatherings.
“Legends Global will partner with BAUS to optimise every aspect of the meeting, from scientific programme design and exhibition performance to the delegate journey, supported by these flexible, future ready spaces and excellent transport connectivity in West London.”
