Yellow Fish has announced its certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp), joining a growing movement of companies that are reinventing business for the benefit of all people and our shared planet.

Verified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, the achievement demonstrates that Yellow Fish meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability alongside a commitment to goals beyond shareholder value.

Yellow Fish is now part of a growing community of over 10,074 businesses globally that have certified as B Corps. The B Corp community in the UK is one of the largest and fastest growing in the world, with over 2,500 companies spanning a range of different industries and sizes.

Yellow Fish MD Laura Pace said: “Yellow Fish exists to create stand out experiences for our clients. B Corp recognition commits us to striving to find the balance between people, planet and profit as we deliver experiences around the globe”

She added: “Today’s consumers have rapidly shifting expectations on how we should care for our people and planet, and we have responded ensuring our business, which is dedicated to human centric experiences, is helping to build a better world. Being a Certified B Corp creates a new benchmark for our people, our clients, our suppliers and our audiences.”

The entire team at Yellow Fish (FT 35 employees) were engaged to complete the comprehensive B Impact Assessment, where Yellow Fish scored 97.8 – a score 22% higher than the minimum score of 80 required for this round of certification.

The process took more than a year and Yellow Fish’s accreditation will be reviewed every three years.

Yellow Fish will use the rigorous assessment as a starting point for constantly pushing for positive change.

Becoming B Corp certified builds on Yellow Fish’s long-standing commitment to sustainability including its ISO 14001 environmental management certification.

From measuring and reducing carbon impact across their whole business operations and launching ‘Yellow Giving’ to support grassroots charities, Yellow Fish has already been rethinking what responsible brand experiences look like.

Pace said: “We’ve always aimed to create experiences responsibly, with people and purpose at the core. B Corp takes that one step further by holding us accountable for our impact across the whole business.”

She added: “Looking ahead, Yellow Fish will use the B Corp framework to deepen its positive impact setting science-based carbon reduction targets, working with suppliers that share its values and engaging clients in creating events that inspire change.”
