The Business of Events Senior Leadership Forum announces programme

The programme has been revealed for the upcoming Business of Events Senior Leadership Forum, taking place at the QEII Centre in Westminster on 26 October.

The invitation-only event will see sessions delivered by the UK events industry’s All Party Parliament Group, the Department for Culture, Media, & Sport, the UK Events Industry Board and VisitBritain.

There will also be debates designed to increase engagement across the sector, and continue areas of collaboration with both national and regional government.

Simon Hughes, vice chair of the Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP) said: “This year’s Senior Leadership Forum in London will continue the critical and collaborative conversations that will ensure the industry aligns itself with future opportunities and challenges, as well as a focus on forging a stronger relationship with the UK government.

“Fit for the future will be a key theme for the forum, where we will discuss the vital issue of talent and skills, something we are all very focussed on as we look to ensure the business events industry is ready to face the challenges of the future.”

In addition to the forum itself, The Business of Events Parliamentary Debate and Senior Leadership Dinner will be held on Thursday 25th October at Portcullis House and The Royal Society respectively.  The QEII Centre will also host The Business of Events Senior Leadership Reception on the eve of the conference.

The forum is being supported by a number of leading organisations from across the UK events sector, including VisitScotland Business Events, Cvent, QEII Centre, IBTM, drp, Scottish Event Campus, The Royal Society, Visit Wales and the newly created Aberdeen Convention & Events Bureau.
