Event professionals delivered more events in 2012 and have indicated an increase in Christmas party budgets this year, according to a survey by Venue Reservations, part of the Crown Group, at its venue showcase on 25 September.
Over two-thirds (68 per cent) of event professionals said they held more events in 2012 and over half (53 per cent) said their Christmas party budgets would increase this year.
Guests were asked a series of questions aimed at assessing the industry in 2012 during the event at One Marylebone, which was held as part of Venue Reservations’ 10th anniversary of providing venue-finding and events planning services to the industry.
"The research we have conducted mirrors the busy year that we have had as a service to the industry, and it is great to see that Christmas party planning is going full-steam ahead with an expected increase in budgets," said Group Director of Crown Group, Jackie Harding.
New venue clients at this year’s showcase included One Mayfair, Garden Museum, The Royal Horticultural Halls, The Fleming Collection, GSP Venues and Northampton Saints, alongside nearly 30 existing venues from across London.
