International event, meetings and travel management agency, Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), has announced its acquired AC Events International (AC Events) through its UK subsidiary, Carlson Wagonlit UK.
AC Events, based in Dublin, Ireland has provided meetings and event management services to corporations since 2005 and has been working in association with CWT since 2008. AC Events will be fully-integrated into CWT Ireland’s operations.
Aine Corrigan, former owner of AC Events, will remain in the company as Director of CWT Meeting and Events Ireland, under the leadership of Lisa Whelan (pictured), Country Director at CWT Ireland.
"This acquisition will strengthen CWT’s presence in Ireland and will help to broaden CWT’s offering to its Irish customers," says Whelan.
Vice President of CWT Meeting and Events in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Thierry Duget adds: "The meetings and events market represents a significant growth opportunity for CWT and, with the acquisition of AC Events, CWT continues to reinforce its footprint in this key business."
