Several members of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) UK and Ireland Chapter have been appointed to the association’s international boards and advisory councils.
Fiona Pelham (pictured), the MD of Sustainable Events and past President of the UK and Ireland Chapter, has been appointed to the International Board of Directors, a post she will retain until 2015. She is also a member of the International CSR Advisory Board.
In addition, UK and Ireland members have been appointed to MPI advisory councils, which will advise on key objectives for MPI International for 2012/13.
Samme Allen, President of the UK and Ireland Chapter and Head of Sales at The Barbican in London, has been appointed to the Chapter Advisory Council. She will advise on the activation of new chapter model elements, including alternative chapter models and performance based support.
Adi Ben Nasher, of Syncpartners, and Miguel Neves, of IMEX Group, will both work on the Knowledge Advisory Council, which has been tasked with advising on content for publications and professional development, ensuring relevancy and value to MPI members.
Jonathan Cohen, of Azimuth Marketing Communications, has been appointed to the Marketplace Advisory Council, which will advise on how to optimise the MPI marketplace value proposition for both buyers and sellers.
“The appointment of a high number of MPI UK and Ireland Chapter members onto international boards and advisory councils is a great testament to the chapter and to our members,” Allen says. “The UK and Ireland Chapter remains the largest outside of the Americas and our membership really is engaged with activity on a global scale.
MPI membership is comprised of more than 21,000 members belonging to 71 chapters and clubs worldwide.
