Hillbark Hotel & Spa in Liverpool awarded five-star rating

Liverpool has added its first five-star hotel, Hillbark Hotel & Spa, to its range of accommodation available across the city region.

The hotel, which opened in 2002, has been awarded five AA stars by the AA Tourism Authority.

Set in 250 acres of parkland in the heart of England’s Golf Coast, the Grade II listed building is minutes from Liverpool city centre and in close proximity to the city’s major business venues. With 18 rooms, the hotel can host conferences for up to 500 delegates, gala dinners, product launches, exhibitions and networking events.

"This is a deserved achievement for the team at Hillbark Hotel & Spa," says Liverpool Convention Bureau Manager, Carol O’Reilly. "We pride ourselves on Liverpool City Region’s comprehensive business and leisure portfolio, and the five-star hotel status further highlights the facilities available to delegates."

Claire Jones, GM of Contessa Hotels, the operator of the property says: "This is a great achievement for Contessa and good news for the tourism offering across the Wirral and the wider Liverpool City Region."
