Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC)
will be sending two of its employees to Excel London to help with the
organisation and management of the venue during the London 2012
Olympics.
The two UAE nationals: Ahmed Al Obaidli, Deputy
Director of Venue Operations and Saad Al Hasani, Security Manager, will
help the venue with hosting seven Olympic and six Paralympic events.
Ali
Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Managing Director of ADNEC, said: “Giving
ADNEC employees the chance to participate in the organisation,
management and operation of Excel London during the Olympic Games shows
ADNEC’s eagerness to develop its UAE national employees.
“They
will be able improve their skills in managing large events and will
learn how to cope with any problems and issues that may arise during its
organisation.”
Excel London’s halls will be fully occupied throughout the Olympic Games and more than 70,000 visitors are expected to visit the venue per day.
Al
Dhaheri added that more than 14,700 athletes from around the world will
be participating in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, of
which 2,736 will be competing at Excel London.
