Zibrant MD Fay Sharpe, ITV Head of Events & Hospitality Katie Rezniak and International Confex Group Director Jonny Sullens head a panel lining up at IET: Savoy Place, London 4 July, to back the launch of the Britain for Events 2012/13 national campaign.
Tim Hamer IET Director of Knowledge, also joins the panel and a gathering of the industry great and the good for a discussion on how to maximise the opportunities for the industry, post London 2012.
Discussion will also centre on how the industry can best lobby government.
Michael Hirst, Chair of the Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP), will brief delegates on the campaign’s aspirations and activity for the year ahead.
Organisers are confident the Government will send representatives to the meeting including individuals from DCMS, UK Sport and UKTI.
“Britain for Events is more ambitious than ever and we’re looking to continue our mission to encourage business to use events to spread awareness, share knowledge and create memorable experiences; and to do so in Britain,” says Hirst.
“With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics and Paralympics, Britain’s expertise in staging the very best is on show across the world. Now is the time to build on this success," the BVEP Chairman adds.
Delegates won’t go hungry: a Best of British menu has been provided by IET London: Savoy Place to give a taste of the best of UK event catering before the presentation and during networking afterwards.
