The Casa Hotel in Chesterfield has won the Best Employer accolade in the Medium Independent Hotels category for England and Wales at Caterer.com’s Hospitality Awards 2012.
The annual awards encourage employees to vote for their employer using the learn purple employee engagement survey.
"The bar was set high this year and we had a record number of companies enter the awards,” said Director of Caterer.com, Ian Burke. “It is fantastic to see employees engage and feedback to the business what they like about working with them. These are the only awards that focus on what the people at the core of the business really think.”
Steve Perez, Owner of Casa Hotel, said: “I am honoured and overwhelmed that we have won this award, especially as we have been open for less than two years. We were up against some well established hotels and it is a fantastic feeling to know that the staff enjoy working at Casa.”
This is the third award in as many weeks for Casa, which has achieved a ranking of 16th in the Top 50 Employers in Hospitality, published by Caterer.com, and Sandra Dean, Casa Housekeeping Manager, achieved runner up in the AA Housekeeping Manager of the year award.
The winners were announced at a black tie awards ceremony at Lancaster Hotel London on 18th June 2012.
