UK hotel group Arinza Star Hotels, which owns hotels in Derbyshire and Lancashire, has been put into administration.
Legacy Hotels and Resorts has been appointed by the administrator to run the two hotels and review the situation until a decision has been made on the future.
John Whitfield of the Global Restructuring Advisory practice at financial advisory and investment banking firm Duff & Phelps, has been appointed Administrator (26 January).
Arinza Star Hotels currently owns The Mill Hotel based in Croston, Lancashire, and The Miraj Hotel and Leisure Club located in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The Company was established in 2003.
“The next stage is for a comprehensive review to be undertaken at both hotels,” Whitfield said. “Legacy Hotels and Resorts has been appointed by us as administrators to act as our managing agent to carry out the reviews and operate the properties as a going concern in the interim.”
“We will act to ensure that all staff and customers will be kept fully updated at this difficult time as we assess the situation and work together to ensure the best outcome for the business,” he added.
Legacy Hotels and Resorts operates 30, three- and four-star properties across the UK and Southern Spain.
CEO of Legacy Hotels and Resorts, Andy Townsend, said: “We have vast experience in operating and managing hotels across the UK and have established a reputation of turning round under-performing venues.”
