Hull and East Yorkshire Conferences has won its bid for the Rotary International District 1270’s 2012 annual conference.

The conference will take place between 21 and 23 September 2012, hosted mainly at Hull Truck Theatre. The Mercure Hull Royal Hotel will be the conference headquarters and the Willerby Manor will be the setting for the Rotary District Governor’s Ball.

Hull and East Yorkshire Conferences’ Business Tourism Executive, Elly King, said: “This is the first time the conference has been held in the city and we are delighted that the destination has been chosen to host the event. The programme for the conference is action packed and delegates will be able to take advantage of a number of our region’s fantastic hotels, venues and attractions.

“Hull and East Yorkshire is well equipped for events like the Rotary International District Conference due to ease of access and Hull has a bustling, compact, pedestrianised city centre with a magnificent marina.”
