ConferencesGroup launches Corporatedesk

Conferencesgroup, the umbrella brand for the Conferences-UK.org.uk and Conferencesvenues.com venue finding services, has launched Corporatedesk, which it claims offers clients real time, online booking opportunities with 125,000 hotels worldwide. 

The service incorporates a toll for logging and managing expenses and is offered as a white label hotel booking solution for companies.

There is an automated billback process, in conjunction with Barclaycard and Corporatedesk claims the service helps drive compliance while giving full visibility of spend. MD of Corporatedesk, Simon Thompson, says businesses signing up to the new service can get a share of the venue commission.

“Corporatedesk also offers companies preferential contracted rates with agreed hotels,” adds Thompson.

Corporatedesk is powered by Conferma and essentially is the same online booking engine operated by Expotel and NYS Corporate.

Thompson tells conference-news his company has experienced growth during the recession. “We have increased revenues whilst other more traditional agencies that are dependent on a small number of clients have suffered. We are working a lot harder for our money, though, as venue prices have fallen, as have commissions.

“We appreciate that there are several companies in the UK that are prepared to act as the principal on client bookings and this is just not something we could compete with at the present. We do however have a very fresh approach in that within our agency the customer always comes first, and we always do our best to deliver upon the customer’s exact requirements.”
