The Scottish Exhibition and Convention Centre’s (SECC) Head of Sales, Ben Goedegebuure, is to be appointed as the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) first international board director.
Goedegebuure is the first board director recruited from outside the US and North America.
“PCMA provides education and sets the agenda for the global meetings and events market,” he said. “This is a genuine honour for me personally and a great opportunity for the SECC to continue to build on its growing US business.”
President and CEO of PCMA, Deborah Sexton, added that Goedegebuure’s “extensive conference, events and exhibition industry experience” made him a valuable addition to the board.
