Hull University has won two major conferences for 2011 as a result of participating in a Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) exhibiting showcase.
The Twenty10 Venue Showcase event was organised to highlight the region to local event planners. The event attracted 45 event organisers, meeting planners and training providers on 11 February at the Guild Hall.
The two conferences are the Organisational Learning, Knowledge and Capabilities (OLKC): Making Waves, and the International Society for the Systems Sciences, to be held in April and June 2011 respectively.
“It is important that we keep securing events in the region’s venues from local organisers, so Twenty10 was important to showcase to locals what their area offers,” says business tourism officer at HEY, Liz Neal. “The event proved successful and the recent increase in sales bookings will help support the region’s economy.”
