Nick Orton, the MD of organiser CloserStill Media, has left the company.
Orton, who founded Healthcare Trade
Shows, the company purchased by CloserStill Media nearly two years ago, will be
replaced by CloserStill Holdings’ director of business development, Michael
Westcott.
“I’m thrilled that I have been able to play a
major part in taking the three trade shows that CloserStill purchased from
concept to established product, and to have worked with some great people, who I
will miss greatly,” said Orton, adding that he will be taking some time off, but
expects to return to the industry in the near
future.
Commenting on Orton’s departure, CloserStill chief executive Andy Center said: “We are sorry to see Nick go and wish him and his family well for the future. The new MD, Michael Westcott, is a key part of the CloserStill executive team, as he was at Ithaca, and is the perfect leader to take this exciting business to the next stage."
For Orton’s first interview since leaving CloserStill, read the September issue of Exhibition News.
