Hotel being built next to Brewery venue

A new hotel is to be built next to the Brewery events venue in Chiswell Street, London.
Owned by Montcalm Hotels, the five-star Montcalm London City Hotel will open its doors in June 2011. The 235-room hotel will also provide additional event space especially designed for intimate boardroom meetings and private dinners, meaning the Brewery’s number of available rooms will increase to 12.
The Brewery’s general manager Maria Duddin says: “This is a very exciting time in the history of the Brewery. The development of the hotel will allow us to move into new markets within the events and incentive travel industry and will offer a complete 24 hour solution for all of our guests.
“The hotel allows us for the first time to be able to offer onsite accommodation for weddings and will see us become a leading contender in this sector. The addition of the extra meeting spaces will allow us to meet the increasing demand we are seeing event space here.”
