The University of Sunderland has joined the conference industry association NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau (NGCB).
The University’s portfolio includes five conference venues by the riverside and in Sunderland city centre.
“Joining NGCB makes perfect sense to us,” says University of Sunderland commercial services manager, Sharon Olver, “as it provides opportunities to profile the work we do, our great learning opportunities and the ongoing development of this academic institution within the region’s wider academic framework.”
“There has been huge investment in our estate and meetings facilities in recent months,” she adds.
NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau, comprising a 90-strong membership including Newcastle University, Northumbria University and Event Durham, has also recently welcomed Novotel Newcastle Airport as a member.
