City Hall backs London’s bid for 2018 World Cup

London City Hall has become London’s billboard for its England 2018 FIFA World Cup bid.
A 200sqm wrap is emblazoned across the windows of the venue ahead of the FIFA inspection visit to the UK next week.
Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, says: "The boys might not have brought the World Cup home this summer, but we’re right on track to bring the tournament here in 2018. In one hundred days time, we could all be World Cup winners and I believe that nowhere in the world could host a better World Cup than England for 2018. So, wherever you are in the country, I’m urging you to back the bid.”
There are 12 candidate host cities for the England 2018 World Cup bid: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Newcastle/Gateshead, Nottingham, Plymouth, Sheffield and Sunderland. Between them, they have made over £300m worth of financial guarantees towards a World Cup in England if the bid is successful.
